Seahawks land 77 on fall Academic All-Conference teams

Seahawks on All-Academic NEWMAC Teams from fall 2023: Jordan Borges, Patrick Voli, Jacob Dubois, Brighton Solheim, Ella Cence, Maggie Hansen, Maya Baldauf

NEWPORT, R.I. (January 30, 2024) – Salve Regina University has landed 77 student-athletes on the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Academic All-Conference teams for seven different sports last fall.

Honorees must have met the following criteria: earned a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5/4.0 scale or 4.35/5.0 scale after the 2023 spring semester, achieved second year academic status at their institution, and been a member of the varsity team for the entire season.

Each sport recognized its honorees during the fall based on the cumulative grade report from spring 2023. Salve Regina had 21 from football, 16 from men's soccer, 14 from women's soccer, nine from women's cross country, eight from field hockey, six from women's volleyball, and three from men's cross country. From a class breakdown, the Seahawks had 31 sophomores, 18 juniors, and 28 seniors.
