INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (January 27, 2020) -- Salve Regina University director of athletics Jody Mooradian (Providence, R.I.) has been selected as a member of the NCAA Division III Committee on Infractions.

Mooradian's term of service on the five-person committee begins immediately and continues through January 31, 2023. Shepard C. Cooper serves as the primary liaison to the Division III Committee on Infractions.

As a member of this NCAA committee, Mooradian agrees to:

  • Sustain and advance the Association's mission, traditions, values and reputation.
  • Regularly participate in committee meetings and conference calls, prepared and well informed.
  • Disclose promptly and fully any potential or actual conflicts of interest, and personally maintain exemplary ethical standards.
  • Commit to serve the Association as a whole rather than any part of it or any personal or political cause.
  • Support the consensus of the committee after fully exercising the responsibility to debate and disagree.
  • Maintain confidentiality as required and appropriate.
  • Serve as an advocate for the Association while only speaking publicly on behalf of the committee as authorized to do so consistent with the NCAA Speaking Agent Policy.

"It's a tremendous privilege and responsibility to serve in this capacity," says Mooradian in her fifth year as the leader of the Seahawk athletic department. "I look forward to helping my fellow committee members carry out the duties directly related to the administration of the Association's enforcement program."

Mooradian, the Senior Associate Athletics Director/Senior Woman Administrator (SWA) at Boston College prior to her arrival at Salve Regina in January 2016, helped manage the Division I athletics program encompassing 750 student athletes and a $68 million budget across 31 sports. Voted a Top 10 Senior Woman Administrator in the NCAA by College AD, Mooradian was praised for her extensive compliance background and longstanding efforts to put programs in place to improve the student athlete experience. The student athlete development program she created was ranked as the #1 such program in NCAA Division I athletics in 2015.

She continues to add developmental programs for Salve Regina athletes such as Seahawk Academy™, Seahawk2Seahawk™, and Captains' Council.
