NEWPORT, R.I. – The Salve Regina University student-athletes came out in full force last Saturday, April 13, to wrap up national Division III week as athletes from all of the university's teams not in competition volunteered at Special Olympics held at Gaudet Field in partnership with Special Olympics R.I., East Bay Games.

The Salve Regina women's ice hockey team placed 10 student athletes on the ECAC East All-Academic Team.

CENTERVILLE, Mass. – The Salve Regina University women’s ice hockey team placed 10 student-athletes on the 2012-13 Eastern College Athletic Conference All-Academic Hockey Team, as announced by the interim commissioner last Friday. The 10 Seahawks mark the most for Salve Regina since the 2009-10 season when nine student-athletes represented Salve Regina.

NEWPORT, R.I. – Senior Rachel Porter (Franklin, Mass.) collected another postseason award as she was named to the 2012-13 All New England All Star Team as announced by the New England Hockey Writers, Tuesday afternoon.

Seniors Rachel Porter, Ali Muelhbronner, sophomore Taylor Shepherd and freshman Danielle Phalon earned ECAC East All-Conference honors.

CENTERVILLE, Mass. - The Salve Regina women ice hockey team placed four on the Eastern College Athletic Conference Women's East All-Conference teams, as announced Friday night. There was a Seahawk representative on every team, including the all-rookie team.

MIDDLETOWN, R.I. – Senior Kailey Bubier's (Auburn, Maine) hat trick led the visiting No.6 seeded Southern Maine Huskies to a first round upset of #3 Salve Regina on its home ice, 5-2, Saturday evening at St. George's Arena.
