SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Sophomore Bre Shipman (New Canaan, Conn.) and junior Heather McKee (Churchton, Md.) led Salve Regina to third place in the Golden Bear Invitational at Western New England University on Saturday.

Shipman finished sixth in the field of 73 runners to set the pace for the Seahawks. Her time of 25:11.0 marked a personal best at 6,000 meters and a 25-second improvement over her performance in the same meet last year. McKee was not far behind, finishing at 25:36.4.

Sophomore Avery Braccia (Bristol, Conn.), senior Paige McDade (Rockaway Beach, N.Y.) and junior Lindsey Sirois (Washington Twp., N.J.) completed the scoring five for Salve Regina.
