Seahawks finish third in Western New England Invitational

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Sophomore Bre Shipman (New Canaan, Conn.) and junior Heather McKee (Churchton, Md.) led Salve Regina to third place in the Golden Bear Invitational at Western New England University on Saturday.

Shipman leads Seahawks at Brown Bear Invitational

ATTLEBORO, Mass. – Bre Shipman (New Canaan, Conn.) set the pace as Salve Regina squared off against NIRCA and USATF teams in the Brown Bear Invitational on Saturday. The sophomore raced to the third-fastest 6K of her career on the former golf course at Highland Park. 

Comprising the Hall of Fame's 14th induction class are six athletes - Kelly Burke '13 (field hockey, lacrosse), Beth Gemma '95 (soccer, basketball), Sarah Jakiela '10 (softball), Ryan Kelly '16 (football, baseball), Brian Walker '09 (lacrosse), Steve Wilken '15 (football) - plus two former coaches and administrators - Trish Cronin and Mick Klitzner.

NORTHAMPTON, Mass. – Senior Izabella Kuczorski (Simsbury, Conn.) led the way as Salve Regina competed in the Smith College Cross Country Invitational on Saturday. The captain ran the second-fastest 5K of her career – and finished as the team’s No. 1 runner for the first time – to set the pace for the Seahawks.

WENHAM, Mass. – Junior Maddie Mildrum (Hingham, Mass.), sophomore Bre Shipman (New Canaan, Conn.) and senior Izabella Kuczorski (Simsbury, Conn.) led Salve Regina to a split in the Battle of the North Shore on Thursday.

NEWPORT, R.I. – Seniors Emma Cote (Milford, Conn.), Izabella Kuczorski (Simsbury, Conn.), Morgan Stewart (Lebanon, Conn.) and Paige McDade (Rockaway Beach, N.Y.) have been appointed captains of the women’s cross country team at Salve Regina University.

NEWPORT, R.I. (August 4, 2022) - Jody Mooradian, director of athletics at Salve Regina since January 2016, has announced her retirement in September. Bill Villareal will step away from his head coaching duties of the women’s lacrosse team after eight seasons and will take on additional duties in his new role as acting director of athletics.

Salve Regina University will join the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) as its newest member institution following unanimous support from the NEWMAC Presidents Council. Salve Regina will become the conference's 12th core member effective July 1, 2023 and will begin participating in conference play during the 2023-2024 academic year.
