SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. (Saturday, May 4, 2024) -- The team of Isabella Hastings, Catherine Minegar, Anna Weygang, and Avery Braccia demolished the previous Salve Regina women's track and field record by 21 seconds in the 4x800 meter relay at day two of the New England DIII Championships on Saturday.

The group clocked a time of 9:52.23. Their performance was good enough to secure second place in their heat and nineth overall.

Olivia Tacconi broke the 100 meter dash school record for the fourth race in a row on day one of competition Friday. She has now set the standard at 12.63.

The 4x100 meter relay team of Olivia McHugh, Hannah Rancourt, Meena Goswami, and Olivia Tacconi finished the day with a season's best time of 52.25.

"This weekend was an exclamation point on a wonderful season for us," said head coach Andrew Furst. "I could not be prouder of our ladies for how hard they worked and competed all year. Our senior captains of Olivia McHugh and Sofia Doukakis were a consistent source of inspiration and guidance for our young team. They have left a lasting impact on this program and each of its members."
