MIDDLETOWN, R.I. - Salve Regina University women's ice hockey earned a 2-0 victory over visiting Anna Maria College in non-conference action Saturday evening at St. George's Rink.

THREE STARS:

  1. Salve Regina freshman Morgan Peritz netted her first career goal at 4:43 of the first period which proved to be the game-winner and added an assist as well.
  2. Salve Regina freshman Livia Krzywulak stopped all 22 shots she faced to earn a shutout in her collegiate debut.
  3. Anna Maria senior Julia Smith made 50 saves in net to fall to 0-3-1 on the year for the AMCATS.

NOTEWORTHY:

  • Jillian Egan netted her second of the season at 13:32 of the first period to round out the Seahawks scoring.
  • Salve Regina outshot Anna Maria 52-22.
  • Neither team could convert on the powerplay as Salve went 0-for-5 and the AMCATS 0-for-6 on the advantage.

ON THE HORIZON:

Salve Regina travels to face Curry College in a Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) matchup on Friday, December 2, at least 7 p.m.
