MIDDLETOWN, R.I. - The Salve Regina University women's ice hockey team scored in every period and never trailed in a 4-1 victory over visiting Worcester State University in non-conference action Sunday afternoon.

  1. Salve Regina freshman Riley Esposito scored twice.
  2. Salve Regina freshman Sydney Baxter made 29 saves to get the win in her collegiate debut.
  3. Worcester sophomore Kelsey Czerniawski made a career-high 40 saves in the loss.

NOTEWORTHY:

  • Salve Regina led 4-0 in the third before Clare Conway spoiled the shutout with her sixth goal of the season.
  • The Seahawks held a 44-30 shot advantage.
  • Worcester went 0-for-5 on the powerplay while the Seahawks were 1-for-2.
