BIDDEFORD, Maine – Endicott wrapped up the first-ever Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Women's Ice Hockey Regular-Season Championship this year with a 15-2-1 (0-0 OT) CCC record and 46 points in the conference standings. As a result, the Gulls will be the No. 1 seed in the inaugural CCC Women's Ice Hockey Championship Tournament.

Endicott won back-to-back Colonial Hockey Conference (CHC) titles before the rebrand and will be looking to continue its championship run in 2022. The Gulls also sit in a tie for No. 9 nationally in the latest DCU/USCHO Division III Women's Poll.

The inaugural CCC Women's Ice Hockey Tournament will have the added bonus of featuring all seven conference teams as earlier this month the membership decided to expand this year's playoff field due to rescheduling challenges created by COVID-19 protocols.

The tournament will begin with three CCC Quarterfinal matchups on Wednesday, Feb. 23. Suffolk will host one of those games as the No. 2 seed after earning 42 points with a 14-4-0 (1-1 OT) CCC record. Nichols (10-7-1 (0-0 OT), 31 points) and the University of New England (9-7-2 (2-1 OT), 28 points) will host the other two games as the No. 3 and No. 4 seeds, respectively. The Rams will host No. 7 seed Curry (1-16-1 (0-0 OT), 4 points) at 7 p.m., the Bison will host No. 6 seed Salve Regina (4-11-3 (0-1 OT), 16 points) at 5:40 p.m., and the Nor'easters will host No. 5 seed Western New England (5-11-2 (0-0 OT), 17 points) at 7 p.m. Meanwhile, the top-seeded Gulls earn a bye into directly in to the CCC Semifinals.

The bracket will be re-seeded following the quarterfinals. In the semifinal round, which will take place on Saturday, Feb. 26, Endicott will host the lowest remaining seed and the other two quarterfinal winners will play against each other. Game times for the semifinals will be announced following the quarterfinals.

The two CCC Semifinal winners will then meet in the CCC Championship game on Saturday, March 5. The winner of that game will be named the 2022 CCC Women's Ice Hockey Tournament Champion and earn the league's automatic qualifier into the 2022 NCAA Division III Women's Ice Hockey Championship.

*Note: Records shown reflect the official NCAA results with conference adjustments for overtime results in parentheses. Wins and losses in overtime count toward a team's official record. [e.g. 15-3-2 (1-1 OT) = 14 regulation wins, 2 regulation losses, 2 ties, 1 overtime win, 1 overtime loss].
