MIDDLETOWN, R.I. - The Salve Regina University women's ice hockey team tied visiting Western New England University in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action Sunday afternoon at St. George's.

  1. Western New England sophomore Rieley Jessie-Girelli (Conton-on Hudson, N.Y.) made 37 saves to improve to 5-7-2 between the pipes.
  2. Salve Regina junior Grace Schwartz (Brookfield, Wisc.) scored he first goal of the season.
  3. Western New England sophomore Alyssa Murphy (Plymouth, Mass.) scored her 10th goal of the season to tie the game at 1-1.

Turning Point
Murphy converted the Golden Bears lone powerplay when her shot from the point snuck in with teammates screening in front at 13:56 of the second period to tie the game 1-1. Both teams got nine shots away in the third, and the Seahawks had the better of the chances in overtime, but both netminders refused to yield and the game ended in a draw.
