PLYMOUTH, N.H. – Junior Meghan Hamilton (Walpole, Mass.) tallied a goal and an assist to lead Plymouth State University to a 3-1 win over Salve Regina University in non-conference action at Hanaway Rink on Saturday afternoon.
Sophomore Carsen Moffett (Kamloops, British Columbia) gave PSU a first period lead less than five minutes into the game and Hamilton followed with her first of the year, but the Seahawks came back to cut the lead in half at the end of one with Maddie Cox's first goal of the year. Hamilton picked up an assist as the Panthers extended to 3-1 late in the second period and sophomore Amelia Julian (Apple Valley, Minn.) held strong between the pipes to preserve the win.
Madison Jalbert made 19 saves in the loss for the Seahawks.
Plymouth State improves to 1-1 on the season, while the Seahawks fall to 0-1.
