  • Salve Regina and Castleon meet for the 20th time in program history.
  • Last season these two teams met for the semifinals with the Spartans walking away 5-1 winners in Middletown. 
  • Earlier this season the Seahawks defeated the Spartans 6-2 on home ice.
  • Both Sarah Markey and Danielle Phalon scored twice for the Seahawks, each scoring an empty net goal to ice the game in the third period.
LAST TIME OUT
  • Both teams had to battle in overtime to advance to the semifinals.
  • Taylor Shepherd scored in overtime to give the Seahawks a dramatic 3-2 win over Nichols in the quarterfinals.
  • Hannah Rose gave the Spartans a 2-1 victory over Southern Maine with her goal in overtime.

  • Seniors Michaela Chiuccariello, Sarah Markey, Taylor Shepherd, and junior Kimberly Spring, hold the captain duties for Salve Regina.

AWARDS

  • Danielle Phalon made first team forward, Sarah Markey was named a second team forward, Amanda Cronin as a second team defenseman, and Colleen Marcik was named a second team goaltender
  • It is the most players that the women's ice hockey program has ever placed on an All-Conference team
