MIDDLETOWN, R.I. – Castleton State used a pair of goals in the second period to defeat the Salve Regina women’s ice hockey team, 5-1, at St. George’s Arena in the ECAC Women’s East semifinal game, Saturday night.

The trio of Seahawk captains, Monika Borkowski, Taylor Shepherd and Shannon Coleman are set to lead the Seahawks in the semifinal round of the 2014 ECAC Women's East tournament.

NEWPORT, R.I. - Salve Regina rolled past Plymouth State last Saturday for its first win in the playoffs since 2009. The SRU women's ice hockey team is set to host Castleton tomorrow as the Seahawks continue their quest for the ECAC Women's East crown.

MIDDLETOWN, R.I. – The Salve Regina women’s ice hockey team has faced five different opponents in the last five playoff games and finally broke the curse of its home ice with a 5-0 win over Plymouth State, Saturday evening. The win is the Seahawks first ever win in the playoffs at home.

CENTERVILLE, Mass. - Sophomore Danielle Phalon (Stoneham, Mass.) and freshmen Amanda Cronin (Medfield, Mass.) and Colleen Marcik (Madison, Conn.) were selected to the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Women's East All-Conference team, as announced by the league office Thursday night.

Marcik's .942 save percentage is the second-best single-season save percentage in Salve Regina history.

MIDDLETOWN, R.I. – The Salve Regina women’s ice hockey team swept the season-series against Manhattanville for the first time in program history with a 3-0 victory over the Valiants Friday night at St. George’s Ice Arena.

MANCHESTER, N.H. – Freshman Alexandra Starzyk (Enfield, Conn.) scored the game-winning goal and added an assist as the Saint Anselm College women's ice hockey team took down Salve Regina University, 2-1, Saturday afternoon in ECAC Women's East ice hockey action as the Hawks celebrated Senior Day.

Danielle Phalon scored the eventual game-winner with less than nine minutes to play for her 11th goal of the year.
