Simmons stopped 41 of 42 shots in a 1-1 tie with No. 4 ranked Norwich University on Saturday at St. George's Rink. Simmons was at her best in the third period and overtime, stopping all 22 shots the Cadets fired on net. Earlier in the week, she stopped 25 shots in a loss at Sacred Heart.

On the season, Simmons is 2-4-2 with a .912 save percentage and a 3.22 goals against average (GAA). Two of those losses, however, came against nationally-ranked Plattsburgh and Manhattanville. Norwich, meanwhile, moved up to No. 3 in this week's poll following a win over Holy Cross last Friday.

The Seahawks (6-8-2, 5-3-1 ECAC) return to action on Friday when they host New England College at 4 p.m. Last season, the Pilgrims dealt the Seahawks a 4-3 overtime loss in the ECAC Semifinals.
