Seahawks surge in second half to top Scots

NEWPORT, R.I. - Trailing at the half, the Salve Regina University women's basketball team outscored Gordon College 35-26 in the second half to win 52-47 in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action.

NOTEWORTHY:

  • Briana Neary and Amanda Folan each scored a game-high 16 points for Salve Regina.
  • Megan Henaghan posted a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds while adding a game-high five blocks.
  • Tied at 42-42 the Seahawks closed on a 10-5 run to earn the victory.
