BOSTON, Mass. - This past weekend at MIT during the Smith Trophy regatta the Salve Regina University sailing team one placed 7th with Oskar Tullberg and Emil Tullberg at the helms and crewing for them Frances Donahoe and Shannon Gondoly. Team two placed 16th overall with newbie freshman Ana López, Olivia Lowthian at the helms and crewing for them Caelan Haddock and Kate Johnson.

NEWPORT, R.I. (September 25, 2022) -- The Salve Regina University Department of Athletics, in conjunction with the Office of Alumni, Parent and Family Programs, has announced the Seahawk Athletic Hall of Fame Class of 2022. Comprising the Hall of Fame's 14th induction class are six athletes - Kelly Burke '13 (field hockey, lacrosse), Beth Gemma '95 (soccer, basketball), Sarah Jakiela '10 (softball), Ryan Kelly '16 (football, baseball), Brian Walker '09 (lacrosse), Steve Wilken '15 (football) - plus two former coaches and administrators - Trish Cronin and Mick Klitzner.
Jody Mooradian to retire in September as director of athletics

NEWPORT, R.I. (August 4, 2022) - Jody Mooradian, director of athletics at Salve Regina since January 2016, has announced her retirement in September. Bill Villareal will step away from his head coaching duties of the women’s lacrosse team after eight seasons and will take on additional duties in his new role as acting director of athletics.
Salve Regina University joins NEWMAC as newest member effective July 1, 2023

NEWPORT, R.I. (July 13, 2022) - Salve Regina University will join the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) as its newest member institution following unanimous support from the NEWMAC Presidents Council. Salve Regina will become the conference's 12th core member effective July 1, 2023 and will begin participating in conference play during the 2023-2024 academic year.
