Men's cross country concludes season at Regional Championships

WESTFIELD, Mass.-- Men's cross country finished out the season at the NCAA DIII Mideast Region Championships on Saturday. 

This is the second time this season Salve Regina raced at the Stanley Park venue. In early October the Seahawks competed at the James Earley Invitational hosted by Westfield State University. 

The men's 8,000-meter course started on the Stanley Park soccer fields and converged with local rocky and wooded trails for three loops. Racers crossed the finish line adjacent to where they began on the grassy fields.

Shane Behn was the first Seahawk athlete to cross the finish line in 122nd place with a time of 28:36.5. Dillon Coblentz followed Behn's charge, coming in 151st place in 31:12.10. Overall, the team finished 23rd place with 719 points. Williams College won the event with 47 points and Rochester Polytechnic Institute finished second with 57 points. Cory Kennedy from RPI came across the line first in 23:56.70.
