Men's cross country competes at the NEWMAC Championships for the first time
NORTHAMPTON, Mass.-- The Salve Regina men's cross country team traveled to Northampton, Massachusetts to compete in the NEWMAC Championships on Saturday. It was the team's first NEWMAC championships and five athletes competed.
Shane Behn ran the fastest Seahawk time (30:51.9) for the 8,000-meter race. Behn was followed by Dillon Coblentz with a time of 32:24.1.
The team placed eighth with a score of 256. The Engineers from Massachusetts Institute of Technology won the event with Lowell Hensgen finishing first in a time of 24:49.3. Eight of the top ten runners represented MIT at the NEWMAC Championships and the team finished out the day with a score of 20 points.
