Behn and Coblentz command Seahawks

ATTLEBORO, Mass.-- Shane Behn '24 and Dillon Coblentz '26 posted the two fastest Seahawk times at the Brown Bear Invitational, both improving upon their times from last year by over 30 seconds. 

Last year the event was held on Oct. 1, 2022, and three athletes from the Salve Regina men's cross country team raced: Shane Behn, Patrick Voli and Dillon Coblentz. Behn was the top Seahawk performer with a time of 29:45.17 in 89th place and Coblentz finished in 129th with a time of 31:27.72. This year Behn finished in 29:06.63 and Coblentz came in at 30:31.63. 

The first runners of the day crossed the 8k starting line at 12 p.m. A total of 233 athletes competed ranging from 15 years or younger to over 60 years old.

The next race of the fall season will take place on Saturday, Oct. 7 at Westfield State University. Racing will begin at 10:30 a.m.
