Series and Streaks
Roger Williams now owns a 21-11-3 record in the all-time series, but Salve Regina has posted a 5-1-2 mark in the last eight meetings including wins each of the last three seasons.

Three Stars of the Game
1 – Salve Regina junior Nolan Brady (Needham, Mass.) - scored his fifth and sixth goals of the season, the latter unassisted to win the game. He now has most goals scored on Seahawks in 2015.
2 – Salve Regina freshman Michael Payan (Fort Lee, N.J.) - the first-year goalkeeper handled a lot of traffic in front of his net, finishing with 14 saves on the afternoon for his third victory of the season.
3 – Roger Williams sophomore Seth Janson (Avon, Conn.) - kept constant pressure on the Seahawks with drives down the left sideline. After a series of point-blank saves by Payan, Janson scored the game's first goal at 48:27.

Key Stat of the Game
14 saves for Payan as his mates were outshot, 18-11.

Turning Point
Salve Regina junior Evan Dudney (North Andover, Mass.) lifted a feed into the box for Nolan Brady who scored the game-tying goal while breaking free from having his shirt grabbed.

Quotes
"This is a very emotional win for us – we have been talking about them since the close of our match on Tuesday and our alumni have been stopping in all week or offering their insights and motivation through e-mails and texts. This match is arguably the biggest of the year for us as it’s our true rivalry. Unfortunately, one of the largest contributing factors to this match was the state of the field. We did not play our mid-week match last week on it and had our conference match last weekend moved off of it because of how wet it was. And despite a week of straight sun, it is still holding a fair amount of water and still has a very lose and slippery surface. Both teams did their best with it but there were several instances today when the team in possession had a clear attacking advantage because the opponent had no footing and was falling down. But what can you do? Both teams had to overcome the same field conditions. For us, I thought Brady did very well and was a clear difference-maker – the scoresheet has his name all over it and he was our best attacking presence. And our young keeper came up with yet another brilliant save for us to keep the score at 1 – 1, which allowed us to go and find a winner. Honestly, I could not be happier with my side. Conceding a goal in the first 4-minutes of any half is not the way you want to start, but it did definitely tested our metal and this team responded. From that point forward is probably when we played our best soccer of the match. The first half was largely just a ‘feeling out time / don’t slip and cost your team a goal’ for 45-minutes. Both teams dealt with the field (aka the mud) better in the second half and were able to link more passes, which allowed all of our players to start playing into form and get farther up the field." – Salve Regina head coach Craig O'Rourke II
