NORTHFIELD, Vt. - Salve Regina University football scored its program-best fourth shutout of the season, 38-0, in a dominating win over Norwich University at Sabine Field as the Seahawks concluded their first season in the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) while putting themselves in position for a postseason bid or bowl game. Salve Regina (8-2, 6-1 NEWMAC) won its first three league games by a combined score of 107-31. The Seahawks' only setback in the NEWMAC came on the road in Springfield (31-21) before Salve Regina reeled off three straight wins, last two by a combined score of 87-0, to end the regular season.

Against the Cadets (1-9, 0-7 NEWMAC), the Seahawks followed a shutout on their own Senior Day last week (49-0 over SUNY Maritime) by blanking Norwich on its Senior Day festivities. Junior quarterback Jake Stack completed 24 of 33 passes for 333 and three touchdowns including a long of 68 to Andre Sullivan to find the endzone. Defensively, Zachary Ludemann led the way with a pair of sacks including a safety (second two-point score for the Seahawk defense in 2023) that put Salve Regina up 25-0 in the second quarter.

QUOTING COACH GILMARTIN

"Great start out of the gates to put up 380 yards in the first half and hold a team to zero points. Made for a great start for an away game and a great way to close the regular season." -- Seahawk head coach Kevin Gilmartin
