NEWPORT, R.I. - The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) has selected Salve Regina University sophomore quarterback Jake Stack as its Offensive Player of the Week for football.
Stack led Salve Regina in a CCC victory over Nichols, 42-21. He completed 13 of his 22 passing attempts with five of those tosses ending up in the endzone as he set a new career-high in scores. He had an efficiency rating of 189.1. Stack also rushed four times for 53 yards as the Seahawks produced their highest scoring output of the year.
"Jake's been growing every game and now his first five-touchdown day of his career," said head coach Kevin Gilmartin. "This is just the start of even greater things to come!"
Salve Regina (5-2, 2-1 CCC) travels to face University of New England on Saturday, October 29, in another CCC matchup.
