CCC Offensive Rookie of the Week: Justan Luzzi

NEWPORT, R.I. - The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) has selected Salve Regina University freshman running back Justan Luzzi (Bellville, N.J.) as its Offensive Rookie of the Week for football.

Luzzi had a career-game in Salve Regina's 42-21 CCC victory over Nichols on Saturday (Oct. 22). He rushed 23 times for a total of 118 yards, giving him a 5.1 yards-per-carry average. Luzzi also scored a touchdown in the contest.

"It was a game of firsts for many players this past Saturday," said head coach Kevin Gilmartin. "Justan posted his first 100-yard game and this is only the beginning for him!"

Salve Regina (5-2, 2-1 CCC) travels to face University of New England on Saturday, October 29, in another CCC matchup.
