NEWPORT, R.I. – Salve Regina University has landed 53 student-athletes on the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) 2018 Fall Academic All-Conference Team, announced by Commissioner Gregg M. Kaye.

Owen leads Seahawks in regional championship

BRUNSWICK, Maine – Senior Olivia Owen (Weymouth, Mass.) paced Salve Regina in the NCAA Division III New England Regional Championship at Bowdoin College on Saturday, racing to her best placement in a regional meet and the third-fastest 6,000-meter time of her career.

Olivia Owen raced to a career-best performance and a runner-up finish in the meet, crossing the finish line at 23:12.8, an improvement of 28 seconds over her previous best at 6,000 meters. BRISTOL, R.I. – Senior Olivia Owen (Weymouth, Mass.) and sophomores Cate Norton (Sandy Hook, Conn.) and Christina Moran (Oceanside, N.Y.) led Salve Regina to a third-place finish in the Commonwealth Coast Conference Cross Country Championship on Saturday.

NEWPORT, R.I. (November 1, 2019) – There is team history in the trails at Colt State Park in Bristol. From the program’s lone conference championship in 2011 and individual and team-time records in 2015, to invitational victories in 2017 and 2018, the course has hosted many memorable moments for Salve Regina.

(October 3, 2019) -- The Salve Regina University Department of Athletics, in conjunction with the Office of Alumni, Parent and Family Programs, has announced the Seahawk Athletic Hall of Fame Class of 2019. Comprising the Hall of Fame's 12th induction class are George "Andy" Andrade (coach - baseball), Kaitlyn Birrell Haskell '13 (soccer, basketball), John Picozzi '97 (football, tennis), and Brian Shanley (coach - tennis, cross country).

Seahawks finish third at Endicott Invitational

IPSWICH, Mass. (September 7, 2019) -- Salve Regina’s women’s cross country team was in the hunt for a second consecutive week, this time at the Endicott College Invitational. And, for a second consecutive week, the Seahawks found themselves a few points short in the final standings.

WENHAM, Mass. – The team from Aquidneck Island managed a split at the Battle of the North Shore on Saturday. Salve Regina topped Gordon College, 19-38, but Endicott College eked out a 26-29 win over the Seahawks.

NEWPORT, R.I. (August 30, 2019) -- Seniors Olivia Owen (Weymouth, Mass.), Cianna Lynch (Cranston, R.I.), Rachel Sandri (Marlboro, N.Y.) and junior Sydney DeCesare (Johnston, R.I.) have been appointed as captains of the women’s cross country team for the 2019-2020 season.
