NEWPORT, R.I. - Salve Regina University women's volleyball head coach Sebastian Noordzy has named Andee Bender (Lebanon, Conn.), Madison Lee (Dover, Fla.), and Olivia Noonan (Rochester, N.H.) as captains for the 2020-21 season.

"I am excited for Andee Bender, Olivia Noonan, and Madison Lee to lead our volleyball program this season," said Noordzy. "Each of these athletes bring different skills and leadership qualities to the program, on and off the court, that will be incredibly valuable to our team, especially in this time of adversity".

Lee and Noonan are each named captains for the first time while Bender enters her second season as a captain.

Bender, a third team All-CCC performer in 2019, was third on the team in kills. Lee combined her offense and defense to be the second leading scorer on the team, while Noonan led the Seahawks in assists in 2019.

Salve Regina saw its fall schedule cancelled due to the Coronavirus outbreak, but the squad is hopeful to compete this spring.
