NEWPORT, R.I. - The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) has selected Salve Regina University freshman Kathryn Linekin (Ridgefield, Conn.) as its women's volleyball Libero of the Week (Oct. 16-22).

Libero of the Week: Linekin averaged 5.2 digs per set in Salve Regina's 3-0 week. She set a new single-match high for herself with 21 digs in a conference match against Western New England giving her a 7.0 digs per set average. She also had double-digit dig totals in wins against Lesley (18) and Wentworth (13). Linekin also had four assists this week with three of them coming against the Golden Bears.

Salve Regina (14-10, 5-3 CCC) plays at Curry College (Tue.) and Clark University (Thu.) before finishing regular season at home against University of New England on Saturday at 1 p.m. The Seahawks recognize six seniors prior to their match with the Nor'easters - Nora Donahue, Samantha Higgins, Tara Kellenbarger, Samantha Salwa, Francesca Testani, Morgan VanderBaan.
