NEWPORT, R.I. – Salve Regina University has landed 33 student-athletes on the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) 2012 Fall Academic All-Conference Team, announced Monday, January 28 by Commissioner Gregg M. Kaye.

WALTHAM, Mass. – In the first semifinal of today's Eastern College Athletic Conference New England Division III Volleyball tournament, No.5 Salve Regina University fell to top-seeded Brandeis University by a 3-0 score. Set scores were 25-17, 25-23, 25-20.

Seahawks battle past Warriors in ECAC tourney

NEWPORT, R.I. - Sophomore Jennifer Duggan (Merrimack, N.H.) recorded a double-double, compiling a team-high 19 kills to go along with 17 digs while leading the fifth-seeded Salve Regina women's volleyball team to a 3-2 (27-25, 25-21, 16-25, 19-25, 15-8) victory over No.4 Eastern Connecticut State in the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) quarterfinals at the Rodgers Recreation Center on Thursday night. The win marked the Seahawks first-ever triumph over the Warriors as well as their first ECAC Championship tournament victory, improving to 18-14 on the year. The Warriors complete their season with an overall mark of 19-14.

The Seahawks and Warriors will meet for the third time this season on Thursday.
Nor'easter postpones ECAC quarterfinals

NEWPORT, R.I. - The Eastern College Athletic Conference (CCC) Volleyball Championship quarterfinal match featuring #4 Eastern Connecticut State University at #5 Salve Regina University has been postponed due to inclement weather conditions. The game has been rescheduled for 7 p.m. on Thursday, November 8 at the Rodgers Recreation Center.

The Seahawks earned the No. 5 seed and will host No. 4 ECSU on Wednesday.

NEWPORT, R.I. - For the second consecutive season, the Salve Regina women's volleyball team has earned a spot in the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championship tournament. The Seahawks have been named the No. 5 seed, and will host a quarterfinal round match versus No. 4 Eastern Connecticut State University this Wednesday at 7 p.m.

The Seahawks advanced to the CCC finals for the first time in program history and have captured a program record 17 wins on the season.

BEVERLY, Mass. - Led by CCC All-Second team honorees Jennifer Duggan (Merrimack, N.H.) and Megan Clancy (Chelmsford, Mass.), the Salve Regina women's volleyball team earned its first-ever victory over Endicott, defeating the Gulls 3-1 during a Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Championship tournament semfinals match on Thursday night. With the win, the Seahawks set a new program record for wins in a season, improving to 17-13 overall and advancing to the CCC Championship finals this Saturday when they will face top-seeded Roger Williams.

NEWPORT, R.I. - Sophomore Clare Adams (New Concord, Ohio) recorded the game's only double-double, compiling a match-high 10 kills and 11 digs to lead Salve Regina to a 3-0 (25-12, 25-11, 25-15) sweep of Wentworth during the quarterfinal round of the Commonwealth Coast Conference Championship tournament at the Rodgers Recreation Center on Holloween night. With the win, the Seahawks have tied the program record for victories in a season, improving to 16-13 on the year, while the Leopards fall to 8-16.

Five Seahawks named to All-CCC team

NEWPORT, R.I. - Five members of the Salve Regina University women's volleyall team have been selected to the All-Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Women's Volleyball Team, with senior Megan Clancy (Chelmsford, Mass.), sophomore Jennifer Duggan (Merrimack, N.H.), and sophomore Taylor Violet (Tiverton, R.I.) earning Second Team honors, while sophomores Kaitlyn Beauregard (Dartmouth, Mass.) and Erin McGloin (West Islip, N.Y.) each earned Honorable Mention.

Clare Adams (13) and Bobby Ernst (25) will wait an extra day before resuming conference tournament action.

WILLIMANTIC, Conn. - Salve Regina senior Megan Clancy (Chelmsford, Mass.) set the all-time program record for career digs as the Seahawks went 0-3 at the Crabtree Invitational this Saturday. The Seahawks took several hard fought losses, dropping decisions to Elmira, 3-2 (25-23, 25-15, 16-25, 25-27, 15-12), Plymouth State, 3-1 (25-20, 25-19, 21-25, 25-16), and Eastern Connecticut State, 3-1 (25-20, 25-20, 25-27, 25-21).

NEW LONDON, Conn.--The Connecticut College volleyball team cruised to a 3-0 victory against Salve Regina University in a match played at Luce Field House Thursday.
