NEWPORT, R.I. – The Salve Regina University women’s volleyball team has been announced as a recipient of the New England Women’s Volleyball Association (NEWVA) Academic Team Award.

NEWPORT, R.I. – Salve Regina University senior Julianne Barry has been selected as a member of the Capital One Academic All-District volleyball team. Barry will now be included on the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-America® ballot.

NEWPORT, R.I - The Salve Regina University women's volleyball team earned the program's first-ever Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championship selection on Monday afternoon. The Seahawks have been announced as the tournament's #5 seed, and will hit the road to face Keene State during a quarterfinal match up on Wednesday.

Salve Regina falls to Endicott in CCC semifinals

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott women's volleyball team claimed a 3-0 (25-23, 25-16, 25-16) victory over Salve Regina in the CCC Semifinals to advance to the conference championship match for the second straight year, as well as its seventh time in the last eight seasons.

NEWPORT, R.I. - Salve Regina University senior Julianne Barry was announced as the 2011 Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) women's volleyball senior scholar athlete of the year as well as a member of the All-CCC First Team on Thursday, highlighting a list of four Seahawks to earn all-conference recognition. In addition to Barry, junior Megan Clancy and freshman Taylor Violet were both selected to the All-CCC second team, while freshman Jennifer Duggan earned All-CCC honorable mention.

NEWPORT, R.I. - Junior Falyn Torelli recorded a team-high 13 kills to spark the Endicott College women's volleyball team to a 3-1 win over Salve Regina University during Senior Day at the Rodgers Recreation Center on Saturday afternoon. The Gulls took the first two sets by scores of 25-19 and 25-17 before the Seahawks responded by taking the third frame, 25-16. The Gulls then hung on for an exciting 29-27 match-clinching victory in the fourth and final set. The win improves Endicott to 13-14 overall and 7-1 in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC), while the loss drops the Seahawks to 15-12 on the season and 6-2 during CCC play.

NEWPORT, R.I. - The Salve Regina University women's volleyball team recorded a collective .231 hitting percentage on their way to a 3-0 sweep of the Wentworth Institute of Technology at the Rodgers Recreation Center on Tuesday night. The win was the fourth straight for the Seahawks who improve to 15-7 on the year and a perfect 6-0 in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC). The loss evens the Leopards overall mark at 12-12 while they fall to 2-4 during CCC play.
