BIDDEFORD, Maine – The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) announced its 2022 Women’s Tennis All-Conference Teams and major award winners Tuesday morning. Seven of the eight CCC schools were represented on this year’s list. Roger Williams and Nichols each had six honorees to lead the group.

NEWPORT, R.I. - The Salve Regina University women's tennis team defeated Western New England University 5-0 in the quarterfinals of the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) tournament Tuesday afternoon.

BOSTON, Mass. - The Salve Regina University women's tennis team earned its second straight win with a 9-0 victory over Suffolk University in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action Saturday.

Comprising the Hall of Fame's 14th induction class are six athletes - Kelly Burke '13 (field hockey, lacrosse), Beth Gemma '95 (soccer, basketball), Sarah Jakiela '10 (softball), Ryan Kelly '16 (football, baseball), Brian Walker '09 (lacrosse), Steve Wilken '15 (football) - plus two former coaches and administrators - Trish Cronin and Mick Klitzner.

Seahawks sweep Scots in CCC opener for women's tennis

NEWPORT, R.I. (September 14, 2022) - Salve Regina University women's tennis swept all matches played including dropping just a game apiece in each of the three doubles to defeat Gordon College, 9-0, in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) women's tennis opener for both schools on the Seahawk home courts on Leroy Avenue.

NO. DARTMOUTH, Mass. (September 7, 2022) - Salve Regina University women's tennis took two of three doubles and five of six singles, including two wins apiece for Elena Murdock (Westerly, R.I.) and Graysen Scherer (Mystic, Conn.), to clip the Corsairs of UMass Dartmouth, 7-2.

(September 3, 2022) - Salve Regina University senior captain Casey Farrell (Cumberland, R.I.) scored a straight-set victory at third singles (6-1,6-0) for the lone Seahawk point in a season-opening 8-1 defeat at the hands of the Anchorwomen of Rhode Island College in a non-league women's tennis match.

NEWPORT, R.I. (August 4, 2022) - Jody Mooradian, director of athletics at Salve Regina since January 2016, has announced her retirement in September. Bill Villareal will step away from his head coaching duties of the women’s lacrosse team after eight seasons and will take on additional duties in his new role as acting director of athletics.

Salve Regina University will join the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) as its newest member institution following unanimous support from the NEWMAC Presidents Council. Salve Regina will become the conference's 12th core member effective July 1, 2023 and will begin participating in conference play during the 2023-2024 academic year.
