NEWPORT, R.I. (September 14, 2019) -- Salve Regina University women's tennis opened its Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) slate with a resounding 9-0 win over visiting Curry College at the Leroy Avenue courts on campus in Newport. Senior captain Lily Gorman (South Yarmouth, Mass.) led the way with a pair of triumphs - pairing with junior Annemarie Haas (Whitinsville, Mass.) for an 8-2 score at No. 2 doubles before a straight-set victory at No. 5 singles over Samantha Gilbert (Bedford, Mass.).

Sophomore Lauren Harvey (Edmond, Okla.) also joined the twin-win club as she did not drop a game in a 6-0,6-0 decision at No. 1 singles, and paired with Makenzie Sadler (Mystic, Conn.) for an 8-3 win at No. 1 doubles.
