NEWPORT, R.I. – The Salve Regina University student-athletes came out in full force last Saturday, April 13, to wrap up national Division III week as athletes from all of the university's teams not in competition volunteered at Special Olympics held at Gaudet Field in partnership with Special Olympics R.I., East Bay Games.

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. - In its first competition of the spring, Salve Regina women's tennis traveled to Hilton Head Island, S.C., to face Ohio Wesleyan at the Van Der Meer Tennis Center. The Battling Bishops defeated the Seahawks, 7-2.

NEWPORT, R.I. – Salve Regina University has landed 33 student-athletes on the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) 2012 Fall Academic All-Conference Team, announced Monday, January 28 by Commissioner Gregg M. Kaye.

Freshman Kasey Walther battled senior Tracy Klein at No. 1 singles to no conclusion as the Hawks ended the CCC playoff contest with wins in five other matches.

BRISTOL, R.I. - While the weather was quite different, the matchup and results were pretty much the same. Third-seeded Roger Williams University women's tennis will be moving on to the Commonwealth Coast Conference semifinals after defeating the sixth-seeded Salve Regina University 5-0 Tuesday afternoon in the CCC quarterfinals.

The Seahawk schedule shuffles again with weather issues moving the women's tennis match with UMass Dartmouth to next Thursday (10/11) at 3:30 p.m. Salve Regina will recognize its two seniors (Shannon O'Brien, Karlee Walther) before that final regular season home match of the Fall.
