Summary
Salve Regina University women's soccer had scored eight goals in its first nine games, and nearly doubled that total with a 7-0 victory over visiting Fitchburg State University in non-league action today at Reynolds Field. Junior Abby McMackin (Walpole, Mass.) and senior Courtney Bouchard (Middleton, Mass.) both scored a pair of goals; for McMackin, her team-leading fourth and fifth goals of the season and for Bouchard, her first and second goals of the year. Salve Regina (3-5-2) has now posted shutouts in four of its last five games.

The seven goals today represent the most scored by Salve Regina women's soccer since an 8-2 home win over Rhode Island College five years ago (Sept. 11, 2012).
