Salve Regina partners with Middletown to spruce up Gaudet Athletic Complex

NEWPORT, R.I. - Plans were finalized earlier this month on a partnership between the town of Middletown and Salve Regina University to renovate the surfaces of the field and track at the J.H. Gaudet Athletic Complex off Turner Road. The track has been milled (June 16) and the turf has been removed (June 21) while a new carpet of FieldTurf will be installed beginning Monday, June 28.

Senior attack Kaity Doherty (Portsmouth, R.I.) and sophomore midfielder Kelly Ventura (Floral Park, N.Y.) each made the All-CCC squad for Salve Regina University.

Seahawks choose #AllVoteNoPlay on Election Day

NEWPORT, R.I. (September 17, 2020) -- Earlier today, the NCAA enacted legislation to make Election Day free of practice and competition for Division I student-athletes. For the Seahawks as a member of NCAA Division III and the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC), the decision not to play had already been made in July. Once members of the Salve Regina Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) learned of the actions at Division I to include no practice on Nov. 3, they replied, "Us, too!"
