Summary
Visiting Bridgewater State University raced out to an 8-0 lead early on its way to an 18-5 victory over the Salve Regina University women's lacrosse team in non-conference action Friday night.

This was the 18th meeting between the two teams. The Bears now own a 16-2 record all-time versus the Seahawks.

1 – Bridgewater senior Lauren Geary (Hull, Mass.) scored four times, collected eight groundballs and won eight draws.
2 – Bridgewater senior Alex King (North Weymouth, Mass.) scored five times to lead the Bears.
3 – Bridgewater freshman Elizabeth Ettridge (Marshfield, Mass.) scored once while handing out four assists.

The Bears outshot the Seahawks 39-15.

Turning Point
The Bears scored 25 seconds into the game to take the lead when Melissa Renauld (Framingham, Mass.) found Alex King in front for her first goal of the night. The Bears would keep scoring, King had a hat-trick 4:09 into the game, and the Bears eventually led 8-0 with 18:35 left to play in the first half. The Seahawks would go on a 3-0 run to inch closer, but the hole was too much to overcome.

  • Four different players had hat-tricks for the Bears; King (5g), Geary (4g), Renauld (3g), and Marissa Yowell (Ashland, Mass.) (3g).
  • Senior netminder Katie Jones (Derry, N.H.) made nine saves for the Seahawks, while Allie Forman (Marblehead, Mass.) stopped nine shots as well.
