BIDDEFORD, Maine – A short-handed goal by Taylor Chisholm with 3:02 to play lifted Salve Regina University over the University of New England in Colonial Hockey Conference (CHC) action at the Harold Alfond Forum on Saturday. The road team won both games of the home-and-home series, spoiling each others Senior Nights.

Following a face-off victory in their own zone, Lexie Anderson flipped the puck up-ice to Chisholm who beat a UNE defender and scored the winner on a shot that barely trickled past the line.

The Nor'easters trailed 2-0 heading into the third period, but came alive down the stretch. Jessie Scott, once again, helped UNE back into the game, burying her 10th goal of the year to trim the deficit to 2-1 early in the period. Scott intercepted a Seahawk pass and stuffed in the tying score with 8:09 to play, her second-straight multi-goal game.

Salve Regina built its lead with a first period goal Amanda Fantasia and a score by Chisholm in the second.

Jennifer O'Connell stopped 33 shots for the Seahawks. Julia Benjamin made 28 save for the hosts.

Salve Regina (6-17-2, 3-8-1 CHC) wraps up the regular season and will await next week's results to learn if they hold on to the final playoff spot.
