Summary
MIDDLETOWN, R.I. - Sophomore Ashley Gillies (Timmins, Ontario) scored her first goal of the season midway through the first period and SUNY Canton women's ice hockey added two more in the third period to finish with a 3-0 victory over Salve Regina University in Colonial Hockey Conference (CHC) action at St. George's.

Series and Streaks
The Kangaroos and Seahawks meet for the second and third times this weekend. SUNY Canton evens the all-time series at one win apiece; Salve Regina won the first meeting, 7-1, at St. George's on January 30, 2015. The teams face off tomorrow at 2 p.m.

Seahawks and Kangaroos started the third period at five on five (with coincidental penalties waiting 47 seconds before returning to the ice) but Salve Regina drew a short-handed situation 20 seconds into the period. SUNY Canton capitalized for its only power-play goal in eight opportunities.
