Summary
MIDDLETOWN, R.I. - UMass Boston women's ice hockey built a 3-0 lead and held on for a 4-2 decision over Salve Regina University in New Hockey Conference (NEHC) action at St. George's in Middletown, R.I., on Saturday evening. Senior Jane Morrissette (Pembroke, Mass.), who had a pair of goals in yesterday's 3-1 victory over the Seahawks in Boston, scored another two tonight to double her season goal total from four to eight on the weekend.

UMass Boston leads the all-time series, 19-12-1, and has won the last seven meetings, including yesterday in Boston. The Seahawks are winless since a 6-3 decision over Johnson & Wales on December 1.

Turning Point
Morrissette's second goal of the night came early in the third period and gave the Beacons a three-goal advantage, 4-1. It followed Salve Regina's first goal late in the second period on the game's first power play. UMass Boston capitalized on its first power play which started in the final minute of the second period.
