Summary
Salve Regina University and Castleton University women's ice hockey matched each other shot for shot in first and third periods, but the Spartans had one more shot in the second period and edged the Seahawks, 2-1, in New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) action at Salve Regina's home rink at St. George's ice rink. Seahawk sophomore Taylor Chisholm (Discovery Bay, Calif.) scored her first goal of the season at 3:36 in the first period, but Lisa Kilroy (Leominster, Mass.) knotted the game at 1-1 on a power-play goal at 6:43 of the same period. Chanel Tyvergyak (Abbotsford, B.C.) had the puck bouncing for the game-winner in the second period.
