The Seahawks now lead the all-time series 15-0-1 against the Bison having now won eight consecutive meetings with Nichols.

Key Stat of the Game
Goyette turned aside a program-record 72 shots, however, the Seahawks were still able to put six goals in the net – the third time this season the Bison have allowed six goals.

Quick Hits

  • Goyette's 72 saves passes former goaltender Francesca Palazzo (Bernardston, Mass.) who had 68 saves against Sacred Heart back in November of 2010.
  • Phalon's four goals tied a Salve Regina program-record with three others. It is the first time a Seahawks has scored four goals in a single game since 2011 (Chiuccariello).
  • Phalon scored the natural hat-trick in the first period with goals at 5:10, 12:00, and 18:53. She added her fourth and final goal at 14:23 of the third period.
  • Salve Regina outshot Nichols 78-13 for the game including 27 in the third period. The Bison have now been outshot 221-54 on the season.
  • The Bison were led by freshman Marg Reid (Harrisville, R.I.) with three shots senior Erin Dice (Ashburn, va.), junior Samantha DiReda (Shrewsbury, Mass.), sophomore Laura Christie (Hudson, Mass.), and freshman Mikayla Castro (Killingworth, Conn.) each had two shots.
  • Junior Colleen Marcik (Madison, Conn.) stopped 13 shots in the winning-effort.
  • The Bison had a season-high 24 blocks for the game.
