Summary
NEWPORT, R.I. - Freshman Torie Scorpio (Cranston, R.I.) scored 20 points on eight of 10 from the field, including three 3-pointers, to lead Salve Regina University women's basketball to its fifth straight victory, 67-44, over visiting Gordon College in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) regular-season finale for both teams.

Junior captain Mary Eden (So. Kingstown, R.I.) dished out eight assists as the Seahawks raced out to a 24-9 score after one quarter and 39-13 by halftime.

Sarah Gibbs (Elizabethtown, Pa.) and Alisha Henderson (Oregon City, Ore.) led the visitors with 12 points apiece.

The Seahawks are 28-13 all-time in their series with the Scots, and have won 20 consecutive meetings.
