NEWPORT, R.I. - Salve Regina University has landed 119 student-athletes on the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) 2021 Spring Academic All-Conference Team, announced by Commissioner Gregg M. Kaye.

NEWPORT, R.I. (Sunday, April 18, 2021) - Junior right hander Maddy Fluke (Douglas, Mass.) started both games at pitcher for Salve Regina University in a Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) softball doubleheader with Roger Williams University and allowed just two earned runs over 8.1 innings, winning the opener for the Seahawks, 4-2, before the Hawks gained revenge with a 9-3 final in the second game.

(Friday, April 2, 2021) - Junior second baseman Nikki Vanelli (Quakertown, Pa.) drilled a 1-2 pitch from reliever Megan Beebe (Ellington, Conn.) over the left field fence for a two-run walk-off home run in the bottom of the eighth inning to give Salve Regina University an 8-7 victory over Western New England University and a sweep of the doubleheader at Toppa Field in Newport, Rhode Island.

(Saturday, March 27, 2021) - Salve Regina University softball freshman Christina Braid (Franklin Lakes, N.J.) and junior Nikki Vanelli (Quakertown, Pa.) both slugged first-inning home runs during the season-opening twinbill at Curry College on Saturday afternoon, but the Colonels overcame the early deficits to sweep the pair over the Seahawks, 7-6 and 9-1 (five innings).
