SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (April 15, 2019) -- The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) has selected Salve Regina University senior Amanda Riley (Barrington, N.H.) as its player of the week for softball (April 8 - 14).

CCC Player of the Week - Riley hit safely in each of the Seahawks' five games to the tune of a .421 batting average (8-for-19), with two doubles, two home runs, five RBI, and four runs scored, without striking out a single time. Riley collected four hits and a pair of RBI in a doubleheader split with CCC rival Western New England and chipped in three more hits in a conference split with Nichols. Her weekly .857 slugging percentage in CCC play raised her conference-only mark to a league-best .791. The Seahawks are 9-3 in their last 12 games.

The Seahawks (17-14, 7-5 CCC) host the Engineers of MIT for a doubleheader at Toppa Field on Tuesday as part of Teal the Field - Sexual Assault Awareness Month. Salve Regina finishes its week with a CCC pair at Roger Williams on Thursday before breaking for Easter.
