Salve Regina designated player Kara O'Riley earned a selection to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District™ Team. O'Riley now advances to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® Team ballot where first, second and third team All-America honorees will be selected later this month.
HOW THEY GOT HERE
Roger Williams University concluded its regular season at 12-6 in the CCC, and earned the No. 3 seed. After a 10-1 run-rule victory against No. 7 seed Curry at Springfield, the Hawks fell 9-3 to host and No. 2 seed Western New England University.
Top seed Salve Regina has held serve in both its outings, a 1-0 victory over No. 4 seed Endicott and a 3-1 triumph over the Golden Bears.
Roger Williams won both elimination games played on Thursday at Toppa Field, first defeating No. 8 seed Gordon, 6-0, and then ending Endicott's season with a 2-0 decision.
WHAT HAVE YOU DONE FOR ME LATELY
- Salve Regina split the regular-season meetings with Western New England, on April 18 (winning 6-2 before losing 2-1). The top two seeds met Thursday at Toppa with the Seahawks winning 3-1.
- The Seahawks swept the Hawks on April 12, winning 2-1 in eight innings and then 8-7 in the nightcap. Salve Regina has won four of the last five meetings with Roger Williams, including a 2-0 final in the 2017 championship game.

Boarman named CCC Pitcher of the Year and Galeazzi named CCC Player of the Year.

- Salve Regina University's first-year head coach Jannelle Iaquinto guided her team to a first-place finish in the league's regular season and earned the vote for CCC Coach of the Year.
