Seahawks earn all-academic honors from USTFCCCA

NEWPORT, R.I. – The Salve Regina men’s cross country team has been named an All-Academic Team by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association. This marks the first time that the team has earned academic honors from the USTFCCCA.

53 Seahawk athletes from seven fall sports are represented on the 2014 CCC Fall All-Academic Team; the individuals in this composite photo own the highest grade point average on their respective teams (l-r) - Jake Weinshank (men's soccer), Jay Brennan (men's cross country), Sarah Thompson (field hockey), Joelle Ross (women's cross country), Katelyn Beauregard (women's volleyball), Emma Gruber (women's tennis), and Raine Oesterle (women's soccer).
Seahawks land 53 on Fall Academic All-CCC

NEWPORT, R.I. – Salve Regina University has landed 53 student-athletes on the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) 2014 Fall Academic All-Conference Team, announced Friday, January 23, by Commissioner Gregg M. Kaye.

Derrick Sarfo-Darko, Matthew Keyser, and Molly O'Sullivan represented Salve Regina's student-athletes and members of SAAC in delivering the donated food to the Martin Luther King Center.

WENHAM, Mass. – Sophomore Billy Martin (West Islip, N.Y.) led Salve Regina to a fourth-place finish in the Pop Crowell Invitational on Saturday. Martin covered the 8K trail course in 29:04 to place inside the top 15 in the field of 149 runners.
