Coast Guard sweeps Salve Regina netmen

NEW LONDON, Conn. - Coast Guard won all nine matches in straight sets to remain unbeaten on the season with a 9-0 win over Salve Regina in a non-conference match.

Junior Greg Mitchell won at #1 singles, junior Nick Martin (#2 singles), freshman Austin Dean (#3 singles), freshman Chris Hoffman (#4 singles), freshman Josh Fischer (#5 singles) and senior Anthony Foss (#6 singles) won the six singles matches for the Bears, who improve to 3-0.

Martin and Mitchell won 8-6 at #1 doubles, Fischer and Dean teamed up at #2 doubles for an 8-2 win while Foss and junior Matt Faha registered an 8-1 win at #3 doubles for Coast Guard.

Salve Regina drops to 0-2 on the season.
