Series and Streaks
Salve Regina now owns a 21-13-2 record against Wentworth. The Leopards have won the last two meetings between the two schools. Series is now even in games played at Gaudet Field in Middletown; Seahawks won 2-0 in 2010.

Three Stars of the Game
1 – Wentworth senior David Cook (Waterville, Maine) scored the game's only goal in the 68th minute.
2 – Wentworth sophomore Michael Zendan (Charlotte, N.C.) assisted on the game-winning goal and kept constant pressure with his throws.
3 – Salve Regina freshman Michael Payan (Fort Lee, N.J.) made seven saves in a losing effort.

Key Stat of the Game
Wentworth outshot the Seahawks in each half, including 11-4 with the wind at its back in the first 45 minutes.

Turning Point
Despite going into the wind, Wentworth continued its attack in the second half and with a throw in from in front of the Salve Regina bench, Zendan led Cook with a lob.

Quick Hits

  • Salve Regina fails to score for the first time since a 1-0 loss at Johnson and Wales on Sept. 3 (eight straight games with goals).
  • Michael Zendan has a league-high eight assists.
  • Seahawks have one non-league game remaining on schedule.
  • Wentworth was the ninth pick in the CCC coaches' pre-season poll, Salve Regina was the fifth pick.

Quotes
"This was another disappointing loss for us in what now is a season of disappointing losses. I thought Wentworth was a quality opponent that presented us with certain obstacles that we have yet to demonstrate an ability to deal with and overcome this season. But ultimately, we will have to learn from our mistakes and missed chances today, and try to put forth a better concerted effort next time out." – Salve Regina head coach Craig O'Rourke II
