CCC Rookie of the Week: Kieran Hughes

Hughes helped the Seahawks to a 9-8 victory in their final game of the 2020 season.

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) has selected Salve Regina University freshman Kieran Hughes (Oradell, N.J.) as its Rookie of the Week for men's lacrosse.

Hughes won 66.7 percent (10-for-15) of his faceoff chances in Salve Regina's 9-8 victory over St. Joseph's (L.I.) on Wednesday (March 11). Possession was key for the Seahawks as they had to come-from-behind to earn the victory. Hughes went 3-for-4 at the X in the final quarter as Seahawks outscored the Golden Eagles 3-0 to claim victory.

The Seahawks season is over with to the suspension of play due to the COVID-19 outbreak with a final mark of 5-1.
