SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) has selected Salve Regina University freshman Kieran Hughes (Oradell, N.J.) as its Specialist of the Week for men's lacrosse.

Hughes won 68 percent (31-for-45) of his faceoff chances this week as Salve Regina picked up a pair of non-conference victories. He was especially strong in the Seahawks' win over Johnson and Wales. He won 19 of 21 chances and collected 12 ground balls. He was also able to pot to goals in that contest. Later in the week against Merchant Marine, Hughes went 12-for-24 at the X with seven ground balls.

The Seahawks (4-0) remain on the road versus Kean this  Saturday, March 7, at 1 p.m.
