MIDDLETOWN, R.I. - The Salve Regina University men's lacrosse team got scoring from 12 different players to help top Johnson & Wales University 21-10 Tuesday evening in non-conference action.

  1. Salve Regina junior Brendan Kelly (Long Beach, N.Y.) led all players with five goals and a single assist.
  2. Salve Regina freshman Kieran Hughes (Oradell, N.J.) won 19-of-21 faceoffs, collected 12 ground balls, and scored twice.
  3. Salve Regina junior Pat Leary (Wakefield, Mass.) scored three times, twice on the man-up to help the Seahawks build an early lead.

Salve Regina opened the second half on a 9-0 scoring run. The Wildcats did not score in the second half until 7:50 remained in the fourth quarter. By that time the Seahawks still led 20-7.

  • Kyle Mangan (Ithica, N.Y.) got the start in net for the Wildcats and made five saves to fall to 0-1 in net. He was replaced to start the fourth quarter by Andrew Costa (North Providence, R.I.) who made two saves.
  • Griffin Ketcham (Ganesvoort, N.Y.) earned the win in net for the Seahawks making five saves to improve to 1-0. Ryan Chambers (Wakefield, Mass.) saw time in the second half and made four saves for the Seahawks.
  • Tyler Drago (Wakefield, Mass.) and Chris Calisto (Jericho, N.Y.) each recorded hat-tricks to lead the Wildcats in scoring.
  • Johnson & Wales went 1-for-7 on the man-up while the Seahawks were 3-for-7
