CCC Rookie of the Week: Mitch Walinski

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) has selected Salve Regina University freshman Mitch Walinski (Lincoln, R.I.) as its Rookie of the Week for men's ice hockey.

Walinski had a spectacular series for Salve Regina as it swept Becker over the weekend. Walinski contributed five points to the effort with two goals and three assists. His biggest game of the weekend came on Friday (Jan. 31) as the first-year forward scored two goals and two assists in the 7-2 victory. He added another assist the following day as the Seahawks earned the 4-0 win.

The Seahawks (12-6-1, 8-3-1 CCC) will next take to the ice on Friday, February 7, when they travel to play Endicott.
